Call for Presentations

Speaker Contract:

  • The speaker agrees to provide handouts for his/her presentation.  Handouts will be in PowerPoint format and be submitted using the IAHCSMM-PowerPoint template provided.
  • Speaker agrees to meet all timelines for submission of bio forms, CE approval forms, presentation handouts, digital presenter photo for marketing as well as other related documents and to follow all speakers’ guidelines.  The speaker understands that failure to do so may result in removal from the program schedule.
  • The speaker agrees to complete and submit required documentation for Continuing Education approvals as requested by IAHCSMM.
  • Speaker acknowledges that the presentation is new (never presented before) and the speaker agrees not to present the developed program until after the initial presentation at the IAHCSMM San Diego Meeting.
  • Speaker agrees to submit all slides/handouts that will be used in the presentation for review by the PDRC by the date required.  Presentations must be completed at that time and will not be changed after approval.  (The only exception will be a slide/handout change due to the change in a regulation and standard that took place after the slides were submitted.)
  • Speaker agrees to use generic terms and graphics when referring to industry products.  When graphics or pictures are used, the speaker will make every effort to use examples from a variety of sources.
  • The speaker will be allowed to use a single slide in the presentation that displays a company logo.  Aside from that single slide, speakers affiliated with or sponsored by a company agree not to mention the company verbally or use the company’s logo or other identifiers during the presentation.
  • The speaker agrees not to depict specific products or services in a negative manner.
  • The speaker agrees to develop and deliver a presentation that fills the entire time frame allotted.  5-10 minutes at the end of that time frame may be allowed for audience questions.
  • The speaker will be provided a complimentary registration for the conference.  The speaker agrees to be responsible for all other expenses (travel, hotel, meals, etc.).  Speakers seeking sponsorship are responsible to obtain a sponsor.
  • All presenters will sign an agreement that outlines their responsibilities, speaker requirements, and identifies commercial affiliations through a conflict of interest disclosure.
  • The speaker understands that their presentation may be audio taped and kept on file at IAHCSMM Headquarters.
  • The speaker warrants that all materials and information in their presentation are original or used with permission.  IAHCSMM is not responsible for presentation content.
  • The speaker understands that failure to comply with the requirements of the speaker contract may result in removal from the program.
