Supervision Principles: Leadership Strategies for Healthcare Facilities (CHL) prepares central service professionals to take on management and supervisory responsibilities.

The following must be completed to obtain Certification in Healthcare Leadership (CHL) status:
  1. Successful completion of Purdue University/IAHCSMM Correspondence Course Supervision Principles: Leadership Strategies for Healthcare Facilities; or
  2. Must submit official proof of successful completion of a general Supervisory Management course with a C or better average from a regionally accredited 2- or 4-year degree granting educational institution.
  3. Examination for Certification in Healthcare Leadership requires a passing grade of 70% or better or
  4. Take the IAHCSMM Challenge: Successfully complete the Challenge Exam.  If you pass the Challenge with a grade of 70% or better, you will receive the highly valued CHL designation along with the certificate endorsed by IAHCSMM and Purdue University.

Background Requirements: CURRENT CRCST status is required to apply for the Certified in Healthcare Leadership (CHL) exam
