I work for a manufacturer of surgical instruments and we are having a problem with one of our customers with complaints of brown stains. The customer has provided the steps they take and what chemicals they use in the different cycles. My question is that they utilize a steam system that uses Klenzamine, Polyklean and Oxygen Savenging Liquid (Company is Kenzoid and they take care of boiler systems) Not being a sterilization guru, I am wondering if the steam treatment is causing some of the trouble. The instruments are fine once cleaned with a stain remover. Any body got an idea?
