Well if I had y choice to purchase a new sonic I would buy Medisafe's Ultra Sonic Irrigator. Medisafe is a company in the United Kingdom, but they are always at our seminars...they have a U.S. Distributor. However I am not in my office, but if you desire contact info I will be more than happy to see if I can find it Monday.
Medisafe has two sonic irrigators, a table top model which you need to manually fill, and a free standing one that is actually plumbed to your water supply. Both machines has adaptors to hook to your cannulated instruments i.e. flexible reamers (oh we all like cleaning those) that sends the solution through the lumen/canula while it does it's cycle. You can also use it as a only a sonic. The free standing unit also has a separate rinse cycle while the free standing one does not if i remeber correctly. The whole set up looks rather impressive.
So if you, or anyone desires the info i will get it to you. Just shoot e an email by clicking on my name abve.

DOES STERIS HAVE ANY PRODUCTS THAT ARE NON-HAZARDOUS AND NON-TOXIC? CHECK THERE MSDS.
YOU SHOULD RESEARCH THE INGREDIENTS THEY USE. ONCE YOU REALIZE THE DANGERS WHY WOULD YOU EXPOSE YOUR STAFF.....

The only sonic I would buy is the Skytron with the 35 lb lift.
With the weight so many of our trays pulling them out of the water is too hard on the back. I agree about the Medisafe for cannulated instruments. We had our sink custom made because we couldn't find what we wanted. commercial sinks are too deep and difficult for some of our short staff
