Rounding

I was wondering if any other Managers do “Rounding” (going to see other depts. you work with to assured they feel you are meeting their expectations). If so what kinds of question do you ask? I would like to make this a quarterly activity. Thanks for any help provided.

Yes I do. In addition to speaking with the O.R.daily, I meet with other areas once a month. I also attend the O.R. department meetings for day shift and evening shift, :) once a month. Keep notes on what was discussed and any follow-up needed. I bring the concerns back to the C.P. staff for input. :)
I will also visit the nursing areas on evening and night shift, introduce myself, take a look at the crash carts, etc.
