Alternative educational tools

Someone in my department took a class a few years ago, but did not take the certification exam. They now must become certified to keep their job. They wanted to know if there are any classes available on DVD. They feel that they learn best with visual and auditory tools. They will not learn by just reading a book. Does anyone know of such a venture?:confused:

It is not a DVD but 3M has a sterile U web education series that is very informative. You can view past and present meetings on their sterile U web site after registering. I recently took the test and the best way I prepared is reviewing the Central service tech manual workbook. It may not be the best for this person as it is not visual and auditory but it is better than reading a text book.

Your question is a very good one and I find it interesting you received no other responses. I would be interested in knowing what type of training program different hospitals offer employees particularly those that require or provide incentives to those who get their certification.

There are so many resources on the Internet... here are some examples.
