I know I have read this before but can not find the source.
While preparing an instrument set for sterile processing, can the oil on the skin of the person assembling the set cause sterilization problems?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry, but I worded the question wrong.

Ok, here it goes, I remember reading that when inst's are taken out of the autoclave they need to cool down before touching because of oil and moisture on the hands. Is this true? Plus, does this pertain to muslin wrap or, does it include water resistant paper wrap like 3-M ?
There was a question in the OR where I work about this. Our inst.'s are wrapped and sterilized in the Or wrap room. We have 2 large autoclaves.

Sorry of the misunderstanding. I didn't realize that people can not read my mind. Dah!
