What products are you using to prevent tears in heavy wrapped ortho trays? Is anyone using the No Drip product? If so how does it work? If you are using corner protectors what company do you get them from?
Thanks

We currently wrap our heavier sets in linen prior to blue wrapping them, but we're working towards putting as many sets as possible into rigid sterilization containers, therefore eliminating the risk of tearing as there is no blue wrap. We've done this with a few sets, including our heavy drills, and it's been pretty successful. Beware though, according to AAMI standards if you change your sterilization process for any set you must run one test BI inside the set and log it. If you're dead set on using corner protectors, look up spare-a-tear from general hospital supply. They'll be more than happy to send you samples.

I have been using corner protectors from Aspen. REF # cp-80ns. They work really well. You can trial them if you want. Companies are always eager to send a few products out for free.

We us 2 green OR towels and then put the corner protectors on. So far they are helping. We get the protectors from Cunningham Woodland, Cat# 5100.

We have always used green towels with good to fair results. Recently switched to KC600 as per Kimberly Clark recomendation for the wrap we use for heavier trays and so far so good.
