Our OR uses the count sheets which we place in the instrument sets. What is the consenses among my peers as to whether the count sheets are placed inside the trays or afixed to the outside of sais tray, i.e. attached to the handle on a container. With wrapped sets how is this handled, in pouches taped to outside?

In all the hospitals that I have worked in we place our count sheets, print side in so when the tray is opened the blank side is showing, We also attach an integrator with a piece of steam tape to the blank side so when the O.R. opens the tray they know that it has been thru the sterilizer and has met the parameters of the integrator. We also put an integrator into the bottom of the tray.
If you are talking about a Sterrad sterilizer, Sterrad, also now sell sheets of mylar type paper that can be put into sterrad.
