This may be silly but with all the technology around today- Is there some type of "wand" that can scan trays after they come out of the washer for bioburden? I know there are swabs that can be done but would like a more global scanning device?

Sure would be nice...

I've never heard of a wand that we can use to scan for bioburden, which is not to say that it doesn't exsist. That would be interesting if there was, and I would love to see how it would work! The facility I work at currently uses Tosi test strips as a means to monitor the cleaning efficacy of our washer-disinfectors. I believe there was talk at some time to look into the swabs but that fell by the wayside... A wand would certainly be an interesting concept.
