Good Morning!
Is there a written hospital policy that defines the process of recall for finding an external wet pack vs internal wet pack? The nurses in the OR want all trays recalled if there is one pack found to be wet on the interior of the wrap.

Our policy is to track all sets/trays/instruments on a load where an internal wet-pack has been found, rewrap and resterilize all items. For the most part, the one item found is the only instance of having water on the interior, but it is always better safe than sorry!
