We looking for a water jet or gun to be used in the Decontam area that can be hooked up to the water system. While we know that cannulated items must be brushed, it would be very helpful to have a water jet to help in the process instead of hand flushing with a syringe. We have looked at dental companies and called sterilizer companies but can't find what we think will work. We also thought of adapting an air hose gun but can't find one that will stand up to water. Any ideas?
Thanks

We just purchased 3 water jet guns and they are wonderful. We had been having a problem getting the very tiny ent suctions clean. The water guns have different nozzel attachments for different size cannulations. No more dirty suctions!!! They are amazing and the surgeons are grinning from ear to ear. We purchased them from R Wolfe (Selecta 6199.00). One of the best purchases made for decon.

The one from Healthmark are awesome...we've had our for a couple months - the tiny tip gets inside the endoscopy tubings we decon very well, and the other tips do their jobs very efficiently. The only down side to the Healthmark irrigation apparatus is the O ring - it fits between the tip and the gun handle - after 2 weeks of use, the O ring on the one we have started coming off the handle. If you don't mind putting the O ring back on once in a while, the Healthmark irrigation apparatus is the way to go!!
