Sales Representative Certification

I am an instuctor and have been approached by a sales representative who wants to take the course. Are there any restrictions prohibiting me from giving him the course. Will he be permitted to be "Registered". I know we can not give him certification because he will not be able to complete the required 400 hours. Should we as an organization consider giving alternate certification to sales reps. providing they don't do anything clinical.

I'm also interested in this. I work for a manufacturing company that sells products to CS/OR and would like to take the course.

I do not see a problem with a sales representative taking the Central Service Technical Training course. In fact, I think it is admirable for someone to want to learn more about the field he/she is selling products.

This situation should be reviewed by Natalie Lind - IAHCSMM's Educational Director and the Professional Development and Resource Council (PDRC).
