When you go for the certification exam you will have the option to pick the sixth edition or the seventh edition. But the sixth will only be available until 5/2008 I am not in NY so I am not sure about the second part of your question. Take care and welcome

Are you sure? I thought there was only one test on the computer! Where did you get that info?

At the instructors update in Atlanta. It was decided that when the 7th edition was available IAHCSMM would make both certification exams available but the 6th edition would only be available until 5/2008 at that time it will be removed

Well! I think we are going to have two different certificates too then!:)

Just to clarify...The test for the 6th edition is the only one available at this time. The PDRC is working right now on the test for the 7th edition and it should be available very soon.

I did not mean to imply that it was available now but would be available in the future as we progress with the transition from the 6th to the 7th. My apologies for not being very clear on my post. thank you KLisa for clearing this issue up for us.
