I would like to know if anyone uses a detergent that dissolves the fat on total joint sets. We had a complaint from the scrub on a day we had several total knee cases that the instruments still felt greasy to him. Maybe our detergent isn't cutting all the fat? Suggestions?

Are You Changing Your Sonic Water. I Worked In A Hospital Where
We Had The Same Problem. Double Rinsing Seemed To Help.if You Do Not Change Water Several Times During Process This Could Cause This Problem

As you know different product solve different concerns.

If it is the "fatty substance " on ortho items. You should look at an enzyme that will attack that specific concern. you can also get a detergent to do that. it has to be be a little higher in pH.

They both will do the job.

Concerning changing the tank water . This is very subjective. Most companies say change as needed.

I am from the theory of change after each use. How do you know the level of contamination.

Just my two cents if you want more contact me off line.

will gladly share with you.

Good Luck.

I have discovered the Ruhof Orthozime works great on ortho instruments. You can get free samples and test for yourself.

Well, it's often said, you get what you pay for ... with that said, Ruhoff products ARE expensive ... and they work like they are! Many products compare, but none beat

I agree with Guest. Ultra enzymatic detergent is much better than even Ruhoff. It works faster, is more thorough, lasts longer and is much, much safer (and with no odor). See the add in the top right corner of this page for a free sample. You will be amazed.
